Plumbing is Big Business

Just a quick post today to tell you all how much the plumbing business actually makes annually. I must admit even as a guy who has spent most of his adult life working as a plumber I was even astounded at the numbers. The fact of the matter is that plumbers earn a handsome living. The annual plumbing expenditures in the United States of America is in the tens of Billions of dollars. Yes folks, I said Billions with a B. That is huge! Think about that for a moment. We are talking about tens of thousands of millions of dollars. Whoa! Now I know that for our spending happy government that isn't much but for a little 'ol plumber like me, that is quite a bit of money. I imagine that its a lot for you too! OK folks I told you that this post would be short and I am going to keep my word. You know how I can get when the fingers start moving on the keyboard. I can lose track of things and end up with 500 words in 10 minutes. I promise I won't do that this time and I am going to cut it off. Just remember that the plumbing business isn't going anywhere and with annual numbers like that it just might be a profession that you could recommend to your kids. Now I know it doesn't have the glitz and glamour of something like medicine, but the money isn't too far off :)

Plumbing Planet

Hello my peoples! I've been cruising around the net and I came across a few plumbing blogs that I wanted to share with you all. The first one is another blogger blog called plumbing planet. Now one of the things that I liked about this site is that they give lots of how-to's and information for people who are not professional plumbers. Now at first I usually am skeptical that you can learn how to do any serious plumbing by just reading some webpage but the nice thing about that site is that they teach a lot of the stuff through videos. Now most of the videos are taken from other sites like youtube so I guess you could just go there and watch them if you want. The one good thing about checking them out at that site is that they have already gone through and found the good ones. I was looking for some videos to post on this blog and I found a bunch of crap. I can't post crappy videos so I got lazy and stopped looking for them altogether. I will just stick with old-school blogging for now. So when you get a chance go check out Plumbing Planet. It has a lot more useful information than this blog does right now but give me a chance and I will have some good stuff on here too. Keep checking out this site from time to time and I think you will be happy you did.
